About the role

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor Production to join PT. VVF Indonesia in Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. This is a contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead and oversee production operations within our manufacturing facility. As Supervisor Production, you will play a critical role in ensuring production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and our team operates efficiently and safely. This position is essential to our operational success and directly contributes to the company's strategic objectives in the manufacturing and logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate daily production activities on the production field, ensuring all team members are clear on their assignments and objectives

2. Monitor production output and ensure targets are met on time whilst maintaining quality standards

3. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all staff

4. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify maintenance needs and report issues promptly

5. Train and mentor Production team members on operational procedures, safety practices and best practices

6. Manage workforce scheduling and allocation to ensure optimal productivity and coverage

7. Document Production metrics, performance data and incidents accurately for reporting purposes

8. Communicate effectively with other departments including Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Management to resolve operational issues

9. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimisation within the production area

10. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations and quality standards

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a Production Supervision DCS Industrial or team leadership role within a Oleochemicals Industrial environment, Operator at splitting Engineering plant, evaporation Plant, Fractionation/ Distillation plant.

2. Minimum diploma 3 major in Chemical engineering and similar degree which related fields.

3. Proven track record of successfully managing Production teams and achieving Production targets

4. Strong knowledge of Production process, machinery Operation and Manufacturing safety standards

5. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members

6. Sound understanding of Quality control procedures and process optimisation techniques

7. Proficiency in basic data recording and reporting using Production Management systems

8. Problem-solving abilities and the capability to make decisions under pressure

9. Physical capability to work on the Production floor and perform regular site inspections

10. Fluency in Indonesian and English (verbal and written) is essential

11. Formal qualifications or certification in Production Management or Supervisory training is highly desirable
