About the role
Port and Infrastructure Lead will be responsible for directing the planning, design, and execution of port facilities and related infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Leading the overall strategy, planning, and execution of port and infrastructure development
Overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of port facilities.
Managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and coordinating with architects, contractors, and specialist consultants
Coordinate with other key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline
Ensuring compliance with Indonesian and international standards, regulations, and environmental requirements
Monitoring project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, and reporting progress to senior management
Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery
Liaising with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and licensing
Developing and implementing operational procedures and safety protocols for port facilities
Mentoring and developing junior engineering staff and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum 10 years of experience in port design, maritime infrastructure, or large-scale civil engineering projects
Demonstrated expertise in port planning, harbour engineering, and related infrastructure systems
Strong knowledge of Indonesian building codes, regulations, and environmental compliance requirements
Experience managing large budgets and complex multi-phase projects with multiple stakeholders
Proficiency in engineering design software and project management tools
Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects from conception through to successful delivery, with a minimum executed value of USD 500 million
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, government agencies, and external partners
Knowledge of Lean or Agile project management methodologies is a plus
Willingness to relocate to or work based in Merauke, South Papua (non-roster)
Fluency in the Indonesian and English languages is essential
