Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

Daily production control

• Plan, organize, and control daily production activities according to production plan and customer priorities.

• Monitor actual output versus target by area, line, workstation, and shift.

• Identify bottlenecks quickly and coordinate corrective actions before production flow is interrupted.

• Ensure machines, operators, materials, and preparation work are ready before production starts.

Shopfloor leadership and discipline

• Lead Shift Leaders, Line Leaders, and operators with clear daily direction.

• Control attendance, punctuality, work discipline, 5S, and workplace behavior in production areas.

• Ensure workstation standards, work instructions, and expected working speed are followed.

• Create a culture where good performers are recognized and poor performance is corrected quickly.

Manpower and training

• Plan manpower allocation based on production priorities and bottlenecks.

• Support training of new operators and ensure they are assigned according to skill level.

• Develop Shift Leaders and Line Leaders to become stronger local production control points.

• Reduce dependency on individual operators by improving cross-training and backups.

Quality and process compliance

• Work closely with Quality team to prevent defects, rework, and repeated mistakes.

• Ensure production follows approved processes, work instructions, and customer requirements.

• Stop or escalate production issues when quality, safety, or delivery risk is identified.

Maintenance and downtime control

• Coordinate with Maintenance to reduce machine downtime and recurring machine problems.

• Ensure operators and Shift Leaders report machine issues immediately and correctly.

• Follow up preventive maintenance, machine readiness, tooling availability, and escalation of technical problems.

• Understand that machine stoppage creates output loss and affects the full factory flow.

Reporting and continuous improvement

• Prepare and report daily production results, main issues, manpower status, downtime, and improvement actions.

• Analyze recurring problems and implement practical countermeasures.

• Support layout, workstation, material flow, and productivity improvements.

• Follow up action plans until closure, not only report problems.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of production experience in manufacturing environment.

• At least 3 years in Production Supervisor, Senior Supervisor, Assistant Production Manager, or Production Manager role. • Experience managing production teams

• Experience in assembly, electrical/electronic components, wire harness, automotive parts, plastic parts, EMS, or similar high-volume manufacturing is preferred.

• Strong hands-on shopfloor leadership; candidate must be comfortable spending significant time in production area.

• Good understanding of production planning, manpower allocation, daily output control, downtime, quality issues, and 5S.

• Able to read and use simple production reports, KPIs, Excel files, and production tracking documents.

• English communication at practical working level is mandatory. Strong Thai leadership is mandatory.
