Accountant and Finance Officer
Key Responsibilities
Process and post vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments in line with payment schedules and cash flow planning.
Handle vendors master data creation, amendments, and maintenance in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
Maintain accurate and well-organized records of invoices, contracts, and supporting documentation.
Handle payment processing, staff reimbursements, financial approval procedures, and tax-related processes, including reviewing payment requests and processing both local and foreign currency payments. Coordinate with vendors and follow up on original tax invoices.
Prepare tax accounting entries and ensure timely submission of withholding tax (WHT) and value-added tax (VAT) through electronic filing systems.
Liaise with banks regarding payments, bank guarantees, short-term loans (S/T Loan), and initiatives to optimize finance costs.
Prepare financial reports, management summaries, and operational analyses to support business decision-making.
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for all company bank accounts.
Perform month-end closing activities for Thailand entities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and financial statement reconciliations in accordance with IFRS and Thai GAAP.
Reconcile AP and intercompany sub-legers and prepare balance sheet schedules with proper supporting documentation.
Collaborate closely with the SEA accounting team and cross-functional departments on Thailand accounting matters.
Ensure global accounting policies, internal controls, and operational procedures are properly implemented and followed.
Coordinate with external accounting firms, auditors, banks, and government authorities.
Assist with company bank account opening, maintenance, and related banking documentation.
Support ad-hoc finance, accounting, and operational assignments as required.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
3-5 years of experience in finance operations, especially AP, WHT, and banking
Proficient in Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
· Strong English & Thai communication.
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks.
Effective communication with a proactive mindset.
Knowledge of banking products (e.g., Letters of Guarantee, loans) is a plus.
