IT Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst with at least 2 years of experience and a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the development team, translating business needs into clear functional requirements while ensuring successful delivery of software solutions.

A background in software development (e.g., programming, QA, or system development) is highly preferred, enabling effective collaboration with technical teams and a deeper understanding of system architecture and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement elicitation sessions.
• Create Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), user stories, process flows, and use cases.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for development teams.
• Work closely with Software Developers, QA Engineers, Project Managers, and Product Owners throughout the SDLC.
• Analyze existing business processes and recommend system improvements and automation opportunities.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Assist in defining acceptance criteria and validating delivered solutions through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Support defect analysis, change requests, and requirement clarifications during development.
• Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives and technical feasibility.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
• Previous background or hands-on experience in software development, programming, QA, or system implementation.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Agile Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Ability to write clear and detailed functional specifications and user stories.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and business process analysis.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, databases, and system integrations is an advantage.
• Knowledge of software testing and UAT processes.
