ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (DESIGN)

About the role

Simpower Tech Indonesia is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Design) to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Cikarang Pusat, Jawa Barat, where you will play a crucial role in designing and developing electrical systems and components that drive our innovative technology solutions. As an Electrical Engineer specialising in design, you will be at the heart of our product development process, translating technical requirements into practical, efficient, and reliable electrical designs that meet both client specifications and industry standards.

What you'll be doing

1. Design electrical systems, circuits, and components using industry-standard computer-aided design (CAD) software and simulation tools

2. Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for new products and systems

3. Conduct feasibility studies and preliminary design analyses to ensure technical viability and cost-effectiveness

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, production specialists, and project managers to integrate electrical designs into overall product solutions

5. Perform calculations and simulations to verify design specifications, performance parameters, and safety compliance

6. Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical standards, regulations, and industry best practices

7. Review and evaluate design alternatives, providing recommendations for optimal solutions

8. Support the prototype development phase, troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing design improvements

9. Maintain comprehensive design documentation and maintain version control of all technical drawings and specifications

10. Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to enhance product quality and performance

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent qualification

2. Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical design and engineering

3. Strong proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, or specialised electrical design tools

4. Solid understanding of electrical principles, circuit theory, power systems, and electronic components

5. Experience with circuit simulation software and analysis tools

6. Knowledge of electrical standards and regulations relevant to the industry

7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in design accuracy

8. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly

9. Experience working in a team environment with excellent collaboration skills

10. Proficiency in written and spoken English is advantageous

11. Preferred: Experience with power electronics, control systems, or renewable energy design
