Electrician

Job Summary

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with company standards, safety regulations, and electrical codes. The role ensures that all electrical installations and maintenance activities are completed efficiently and safely to support company operations and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Electrical Technology, Industrial Technology (Major in Electrical), or any related vocational or technical course.
• TESDA National Certificate (NC II) in Electrical Installation and Maintenance is an advantage.
• Preferably with at least 1–2 years of relevant experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
• Knowledgeable in electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety procedures.
• Able to read and interpret electrical plans, diagrams, and schematics.
• Familiarity with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) is an advantage.
• Physically fit and willing to work on-site, at heights, or in confined spaces when necessary.
• Willing to render overtime and travel to project sites if required.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Working Conditions

• Primarily field or project-site based.
• May require lifting heavy equipment and working in varying weather conditions.
• May require overtime, weekend work, or emergency call-outs depending on operational requirements.
• Must use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Conduct electrical testing and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
• Install conduits, cable trays, raceways, and electrical devices.
• Ensure proper operation of electrical equipment by performing routine inspections and maintenance.
• Replace defective electrical components, wiring, and equipment as necessary.
• Observe and comply with company safety policies, electrical codes, and government regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other departments to complete assigned projects.
• Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns when required.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by management.
