Scrum Master (Banking)

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Informatics Engineering or similar major

• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Scrum Master, facilitating Agile software development teams and successfully delivering projects in fast-paced environments.

• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), with the ability to select and apply the most appropriate methodology based on project requirements.

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.

• Solid understanding of Agile metrics such as Velocity, Burndown Chart, Burnup Chart, Cycle Time, Lead Time, Sprint Predictability, and Team Capacity to measure team performance and drive continuous improvement.

• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement, ensuring adherence to Agile best practices.

• Strong understanding of Agile principles and servant leadership, with the ability to coach development teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile mindset and continuous improvement.

• Experience identifying, tracking, and removing impediments to enable development teams to achieve sprint goals and improve delivery efficiency.

• Good understanding of the Banking and Financial Services domain, including knowledge of digital banking, payment systems, regulatory compliance, and enterprise software delivery within financial institutions.

• Experience in Risk Management and Audit Management, including supporting internal/external audits, ensuring project governance compliance, identifying delivery risks, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

• Familiarity with regulatory and security requirements commonly found in banking environments, ensuring Agile practices align with organizational governance and compliance standards.

• Hands-on experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Trello, or similar platforms for backlog management, sprint tracking, and reporting.

• Strong communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business, product, and technical teams.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to driving team productivity, improving Agile maturity, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

• Experience working in cross-functional, distributed, or multi-vendor teams within enterprise-scale organizations is highly preferred.
