General Requirements

The following requirements apply to all teaching faculty positions: 

• Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in a relevant subject area; teaching qualification preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of upper secondary teaching experience; IB DP experience is strongly preferred.

• Outstanding non-IB teachers with strong inquiry-based and student-centred pedagogy are encouraged to apply.

• Proficient in English.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to student development and pastoral care.

• Ability to design and deliver rigorous, differentiated lessons aligned with IB philosophy and subject-specific requirements.

• Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality work.

• Aligned with the school's faith-based ethos and comfortable working within a residential boarding school community.

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

• Willing to relocate.

General Duties & Responsibilities

The following duties apply to all teaching faculty positions:

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with IB philosophy, subject guides, and GDA's curriculum framework.

• Design and implement unit plans, assessments, and Internal Assessments (IAs) that meet IB standards.

• Monitor and support student academic progress through formative and summative assessment; provide timely, constructive feedback.

• Contribute to IB Core components as assigned.

• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, ensuring programme coherence and quality across subject groups.

• Actively participate in the boarding school community, including pastoral duties, student supervision, and residential activities.

• Serve as a positive role model for students in line with GDA's Darsanian Profile and the school's values.

• Engage in regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress in accordance with school policy.

• Participate in staff meetings, professional development days, and school improvement initiatives.
