Processing (Manufacturing) Manager

Job Description:

1. Lead and oversee end-to-end processing operations, from raw material preparation through the completion of the production process.

2. Develop and execute production plans, manpower arrangements, and operational schedules in accordance with production targets and market requirements.

3. Monitor production output, process efficiency, product quality, waste levels, downtime, and the utilization of materials and energy.

4. Identify operational issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and process reliability.

5. Ensure all production activities comply with company procedures, food safety requirements, quality standards, and occupational health and safety regulations.

6. Manage, coach, and develop the production team to strengthen technical capabilities, discipline, teamwork, and performance.

7. Control production expenses and optimize the use of manpower, equipment, raw materials, and other operational resources.

8. Collaborate with Quality Control, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse, Packing, and other related departments to maintain a smooth production flow.

9. Review production performance regularly and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management evaluation.

10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize production waste, reduce downtime, and enhance overall equipment and process effectiveness.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant discipline.

2. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations within the FMCG, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or other process-based industries.

3. At least 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial position within production or processing operations.

4. Strong understanding of production planning, process control, manpower management, cost management, and continuous improvement.

5. Good knowledge of food safety and quality management systems, such as GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and standard operating procedures.

6. Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop a large production team.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely operational decisions.

8. Capable of managing multiple priorities and maintaining performance in a fast-paced production environment.

9. Good communication and coordination skills when working with cross-functional departments.

10. Familiarity with production performance indicators, including output achievement, product quality, waste reduction, downtime, and material and energy efficiency.
