Job Summary:
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and food items while providing excellent customer service. The role ensures adherence to product standards, cleanliness, food safety, and overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards.
Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
Recommend products and upsell menu items when appropriate.
Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other beverage preparation equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the café, workstations, and dining areas.
Monitor and replenish supplies such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other materials.
Ensure proper food handling, safety, and hygiene practices at all times.
Handle cash, process payments, and reconcile transactions accurately.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries following FIFO principles.
Address customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Support store operations to achieve sales, quality, and service targets.
Qualifications
High School Graduate, Senior High School Graduate, or College Level.
Experience as a Barista or in food service is an advantage.
Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
