Delta Marine Consultants Indonesia (DMCI) is the Indonesia Foreign Investment Company (PMA) of Van Oord of the Netherlands. As a marine contractor Van Oord has a wide international presence in dredging, infrastructure, offshore energy and marine contracting. High-quality modelling and drawings more and more to provide as more and more tender and projects are coming.
In this role you will be part of DMCI, Graphic Design team which belongs to the Information and Modelling within Tender & Engineering Department.
You will support tender and the project teams by providing design models with an inhouse modelling tool called VOSS.

YOUR IMPACT
In this role, your goal is preparing model set-up, 3D model creation, work with surfaces, create volume calculation, sections, grading, profiles, and drawings.
You collaborate closely with other team members across Indonesia and The Netherlands to provide accurate and up to date civil models and to identify and resolve potential conflicts, risks, and issues during the entire lifetime of a project.

The main responsibilities of the Modelling Engineer / Drafter

1. Create high quality of models and drawings.

2. Works independently on clearly defined assignments and takes responsibility for solving problems with a limited degree of complexity.

3. Communicate with different stakeholders within the organisation and externally to ensure data integrity and consistency is maintained across the different information systems.

4. Maintain and improve office standards in projects and products.

5. Ensure deadlines are met.

In the position of Modelling Engineer / Draftsman you will be part of the Van Oord team in Indonesia, at Delta Marine Consultants Indonesia. This consists of currently of 20 people working from Cibubur. Bekasi, and is part of the Van Oord Engineering Department in Rotterdam/Gorinchem.

ABOUT YOU

You are a creative and technically skilled in engineer. You can learn new software in a short period of time, are always looking for ways to improve existing or new workflows, eager to learn, speaks up when issues are detected and provide possible solutions, open to feedback, attention to detail, work and develop standard company templates. Have between 1 and 5 years experiences as Modelling Engineer / Drafter or similar role.

• You have a completed Bachelor’ degree (preferably in engineering).

• Preferably has experienced in designed for dyke and breakwater using civil 3D or similar

• Good command of the English language both verbally and written.

• You are available to work full time (minimal 40 hours).

• Team player and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
