Procurement and Logistics Officer
Job Summary
MSJ Electrical Supply is looking for a proactive and resourceful Procurement and Logistics Officer to handle supplier sourcing, purchasing, and delivery coordination.
The role is responsible for ensuring electrical products and materials are sourced at competitive prices, purchased on time, and properly coordinated for inventory replenishment, customer orders, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Source electrical products, materials, and other company requirements.
- Identify and develop reliable suppliers and alternative sourcing options.
- Conduct canvassing, price comparisons, and supplier evaluation.
- Negotiate prices, discounts, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders accurately and on time.
- Monitor pending orders and consistently follow up supplier commitments.
- Coordinate with the Inventory Controller regarding stock levels and replenishment requirements.
- Help prevent stock outs, overstocking, and unnecessary purchases.
- Coordinate supplier deliveries with the Warehouse Team.
- Prepare and manage delivery schedules for company drivers and vehicles.
- Coordinate deliveries to customers, branches, and project sites.
- Monitor delivery progress and assist in resolving logistics-related concerns.
- Coordinate with Sales, Inventory, Warehouse, Accounting, and Management.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and delivery records.
- Prepare price comparisons, purchasing reports, and other required documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, or logistics is preferred.
- Experience in electrical supplies, construction materials, hardware, or industrial products is an advantage.
- Strong sourcing, negotiation, and supplier coordination skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple priorities.
- Proactive in following up orders and resolving purchasing or delivery concerns.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and basic office applications.
- Experience with ERP or inventory systems is an advantage.
- Willing to work on-site and from Monday to Saturday.
