Site Engineer

1. Site Supervision & Execution

• Supervise daily site activities for installation, erection, and commissioning works

• Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements

• Monitor site progress and ensure alignment with project schedule

• Inspect workmanship and ensure quality standards are met

2. Project Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with project management, design, procurement, and other internal teams

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and main contractors on site matters

• Ensure clear communication between site and office teams

• Report site progress, issues, and risks to project management regularly

3. Subcontractor Management

• Manage and supervise subcontractors on site

• Ensure subcontractors follow project specifications, safety rules, and schedule requirements

• Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, and quality of work

• Resolve on-site execution issues with subcontractors

4. Planning & Scheduling

• Assist in preparing and updating site work schedules

• Monitor daily/weekly progress against project timeline

• Identify delays and propose corrective actions

• Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to meet schedule requirements

5. Cost Control & Payment Support

• Monitor site-related costs and ensure work is within budget

• Verify subcontractor work progress for payment certification

• Prepare supporting documents for progress claims and invoices

• Assist project management in cost tracking and variation works

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports

• Submit site records, inspection reports, and technical documentation

• Maintain proper site documentation for project tracking and audits

• Support preparation of as-built documentation when required

7. Safety Management

• Enforce strict compliance with site safety rules and regulations

• Conduct or support toolbox meetings and safety briefings

• Ensure all workers and subcontractors follow PPE requirements

• Report and support investigation of incidents, near misses, and safety issues

8. Material & Site Resource Coordination

• Monitor material delivery, usage, and storage at site

• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse for site requirements

• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials

9. Other Responsibilities

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior and management, in line with project and site requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field

• 2–5 years of experience in site engineering, construction, or installation projects

• Experience in HVAC, cooling towers, or industrial equipment projects is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

• Understanding of construction/site installation methods

• Knowledge of project scheduling and basic cost control

• Familiarity with subcontractor management and site coordination

Safety & Compliance

• Strong understanding of site safety standards and regulations

• Commitment to enforcing safety compliance on site

Communication & Coordination

• Good coordination skills with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors

• Strong reporting and documentation skills

• Able to work in a fast-paced project environment
