Senior Filters Designer

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing innovative filter solutions for global customers. Your responsibilities include:

• Design and develop new filter products based on customer requirements while ensuring manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

• Evaluate product performance through technical analysis, prototype testing, and design optimization.

• Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and support product development from concept through commercialization.

• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Material Suppliers to ensure successful implementation of new product designs.

• Maintain and manage product specifications and technical documentation within the company's design database.

• Conduct product testing, analyze results, and recommend improvements to enhance product performance and manufacturing capability.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize product design, production efficiency, and material utilization.

• Develop and maintain technical standards, work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to product design and development.

• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within cross-functional and global project teams.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Product Development, Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering role.

• Experience in New Product Development (NPD), New Product Introduction (NPI), or product commercialization projects.

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing industries such as:

  • Tobacco

  • FMCG

  • Packaging

  • Paper & Converting

• Experience in filtration technology or cigarette filter manufacturing is an advantage.

• Good written and spoken English.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis software is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE), FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, or statistical process analysis.

• Ability to manage multiple development projects in a fast-paced environment.
