About the role
We are seeking a skilled Credit Reviewer - SME & Commercial to join our team at PT Bank Amar Indonesia on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in evaluating and assessing credit applications for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and commercial customers. As a Credit Reviewer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments and making well-informed decisions to support the growth and success of our commercial lending portfolio.
What you'll be doing
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of commercial, corporate, and FI clients, including review of income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and financial projections.
Assess client financial health, focusing on liquidity, profitability, solvency, and debt-servicing capacity.
Evaluate credit risk by identifying financial trends, sector-specific risks, and macroeconomic influences.
Prepare well-structured Credit Evaluation Reports (CERs) with actionable recommendations on credit structure, limits, and risk appetite alignment.
Monitor credit exposures and portfolio performance, updating assessments regularly to maintain credit discipline.
Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, risk guidelines, and regulatory frameworks in all credit decisions.
Conduct market and industry research to contextualize credit risks within evolving economic and competitive landscapes.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in credit risk assessment, commercial lending, or a similar role in the banking or financial services industry
Strong foundation in financial analysis, accounting, and credit risk assessment.
Experience in reviewing credit proposals for commercial/corporate/FI borrowers.
Proficiency in Excel and has the ability to evaluate forecasts and sensitivity scenarios.
Familiarity with credit risk policy, credit processes, and regulatory requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present clear, balanced credit opinions.
