Costing Senior Staff

About the role

PT Toyota Tsusho Techno Park Indonesia is seeking a Costing Senior Staff to join our Financial Accounting & Reporting team on a full-time basis. This position is based in East Karawang, West Java and offers a strategic opportunity to lead and manage costing operations within our organisation. As Costing Senior Staff, you will be responsible for overseeing cost accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing valuable insights into cost management and operational efficiency. This role is integral to our financial planning, budgeting, and strategic decision-making processes.

Key responsibilities

1. Develop, implement and maintain costing systems and methodologies aligned with company standards and financial requirements

2. Prepare and analyse cost accounting reports, including cost allocations, variance analysis, and cost centre reporting

3. Conduct regular cost analysis and provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency and operational performance

4. Supervise and coordinate with junior costing staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all costing deliverables

5. Monitor and reconcile costs against budgets and standards, investigating and documenting significant variances

6. Collaborate with finance, operations and procurement teams to gather cost data and ensure proper cost treatment

7. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements related to cost accounting

8. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies and regulatory requirements in all costing activities

9. Provide training and guidance to team members on costing procedures and best practices

10. Support management with cost analysis for strategic initiatives, projects and decision-making

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting (D3/D4/S1) with reputable university

2. Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in cost accounting, financial accounting or related fields

3. Strong knowledge with BOM and cost allocation methods

4. Familiar with inventory and COGS calculations

5. Familiar with journal entries and the financial closing process

6. Proven experience in financial reporting and budget management

7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy

8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments

9. Ability to lead, mentor and supervise junior staff members

10. Experience with inventory costing and manufacturing cost accounting is highly preferred

11. Proficiency in Indonesian and English languages is essential
