Job Overview
The Jakarta Post is looking for a Creative Writer & Event Management Intern for a minimum 3-month, work-from-office internship (Monday–Friday). This role offers hands-on experience in both creative content production and event execution, supporting the Creative Desk and Event team in delivering impactful campaigns and engaging experiences.
Responsibilities
Write engaging advertorial articles in collaboration with the Creative Desk Editor, aligned with client briefs and editorial standards.
Support the production of Weekender content, including writing articles, transcribing interviews, and assisting with field reporting.
Contribute story ideas and creative content proposals, particularly for lifestyle, culture, and creative features.
Assist in the execution of creative campaigns and content initiatives, including on-site reporting and content gathering.
Support event planning and coordination, including preparing invitations, tracking RSVPs, organizing event documents, and coordinating logistical requirements.
Serve as part of the event crew during event execution by assisting with registration, guest management, and on-site coordination.
Assist with post-event documentation and reporting.
Requirements
Open to students from all majors; preferably final-year students with no active classes or those currently working on a thesis.
Students majoring in Journalism, English Literature, Communication, Event Management, or related fields are preferred.
Strong English writing skills, demonstrated through a portfolio or published works.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Willing to participate in field reporting, event execution, and work from the office during the internship period.
Enthusiastic about storytelling, event management, and collaborative work.
