Our client is a luxury phinisi yacht launching in June 2026, operating multi-day voyages in Komodo, Raja Ampat and all over Eastern Indonesia. They are currently seeking an experienced Hospitality & Guest Relations Manager to oversee the onboard guest experience and lead the service team onboard.
This role is responsible for ensuring a high standard of hospitality and guest care throughout each voyage, managing the service team, and coordinating closely with the Captain, Chef, Activities Manager and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations onboard.
Working onboard requires professionalism, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver warm, attentive service in a small team environment.
This role is pretty much an onboard General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
Act as the main point of contact for guests onboard
Ensure a welcoming and professional guest experience from arrival to departure
Handle guest requests, special arrangements, guest feedback and any issues that arise
Support daily guest briefings and coordination of the guest schedule
Hospitality Operations
Oversee all service and hospitality operations onboard, including dining service and housekeeping standards
Coordinate closely with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth dining experiences
Ensure table settings, service flow, and guest areas are maintained to high standards
Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve any issues quickly and professionally
Team Leadership
Supervise and support the service, wellness, kitchen and housekeeping team
Provide daily briefings and ensure service standards are maintained
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations onboard
Hands-On Service
As part of a small onboard team, this role is also hands-on and involved in daily service
Assist with serving food and beverages, table service, and guest hosting if required
Support the team during busy service periods to ensure a seamless guest experience
Operational Support
Assist with provisioning coordination and stock management
Maintain organization of service equipment and guest supplies
Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and service standards are consistently maintained
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years experience in luxury hospitality
(luxury resort, boutique hotel, cruise ship, or liveaboard/yacht preferred)Experience in guest relations or hospitality management
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
Professional, organized, and calm under pressure
Comfortable working onboard during multi-day voyages in remote areas
Candidates must be comfortable working in a small team environment where managers are also directly involved in daily service operations
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Depending on experience
Rotation: 5 months onboard / 1 month leave
