Role Overview
Baskit's General Trade (GT) business reaches 150+ cities through a large network of small-format beauty and personal care stores, resellers, and local distributors. We're looking for a GT Beauty Sales Head to own this channel end-to-end: growing the store and distributor network, managing the field team, and ensuring healthy seller retention and payment collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage GT (General Trade) beauty sales performance across Indonesia, covering all cities and regions currently served (150+ cities, 31 provinces).
- Lead negotiations with individual stores, local distributors, and wholesalers to expand shelf presence, secure better terms, and drive sell-in and sell-out.
- Build and manage relationships with distributors and resellers, identifying and onboarding new store and distributor partners to grow network coverage.
- Manage and coach the field sales team (regional/city sales reps and team leads), setting targets and tracking performance against store acquisition, retention, and sales goals.
- Track and report on team KPIs on a weekly/monthly basis — new store acquisition, active store retention, sales per store, and territory coverage.
- Own seller retention — proactively identify at-risk stores/distributors and put in place plans to keep them active and growing.
- Oversee seller payments and collections, working closely with the credit/finance team to ensure timely collections and healthy aging.
- Share regular market feedback with leadership to inform pricing, SKU, and expansion decisions.
What We're Looking For
- 5-8+ years of experience in FMCG/beauty & personal care sales, with significant exposure to General Trade / traditional trade distribution in Indonesia.
- Proven track record managing multi-city or national sales teams and hitting distribution/sales targets through distributors and GT outlets.
- Strong negotiation skills with hands-on experience dealing directly with stores, distributors, and wholesalers.
- Experience managing collections/receivables from a distributed retail or reseller network.
- Comfortable using sales/CRM or ERP tools to track team activity and performance; data-driven approach to managing a large field team.
- Strong people management skills; able to lead, motivate, and hold accountable a geographically distributed team.
- Willingness to travel across Indonesia as needed.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and working proficiency in English.
