About the role
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join PT. Idelux Furniture Indonesia in Semarang, Central Java. This is a contract position that offers a unique opportunity to lead and optimise our manufacturing operations. As Manufacturing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across our furniture manufacturing facility. This position is integral to our operational success and directly contributes to meeting our production targets and delivering excellence to our customers.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to achieve production targets, quality standards, efficiency, and workplace safety.
Lead manufacturing teams to foster a culture of safety, housekeeping programs, continuous improvement and GMP implementation.
Manage manufacturing budgets and investments to enhance productioncapacity, technology and manufacturing systems.
Analyse production metrics and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the manufacturing facility
Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support production requirements
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Liaise with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination across departments
Conduct regular maintenance and equipment management to minimise downtime and maximise productivity
Job Requirements
Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in the furniture or related manufacturing industry
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical skills, and ability to manage manufacturing complexity
Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management system
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Proficiency in manufacturing software and ERP systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret production data and metrics
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements in manufacturing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Indonesian
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field is preferred
