About the role

Gold Eagle Foam Industry is seeking a Mandarin Language Translator to join our Administration & Office Support team on a full-time basis. This role is located in Cikande, Banten and offers a unique opportunity to provide essential translation and communication support across our dynamic organisation. As a translator, you will play a vital role in facilitating clear communication between our international operations and stakeholders, ensuring that all documentation, correspondence, and communications are accurately conveyed in Mandarin Chinese and English. This position is fundamental to maintaining strong relationships with our Chinese-speaking partners and clients whilst supporting the smooth operations of our foam manufacturing business.

Key responsibilities

1. Translate business documents, contracts, emails, and correspondence from English to Mandarin Chinese and vice versa with accuracy and cultural sensitivity

2. Provide interpretation support during meetings, negotiations, and communications with Mandarin-speaking clients, suppliers, and business partners

3. Maintain a comprehensive glossary of industry-specific terminology related to foam manufacturing and production processes

4. Ensure all translated materials maintain the original meaning, tone, and intent whilst adapting appropriately for the target audience

5. Proofread and quality check translated documents to guarantee accuracy before distribution

6. Support administrative staff with translation requirements and multilingual communication needs

7. Assist in localising marketing materials, technical documentation, and product information for Mandarin-speaking markets

8. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive business communications

What we're looking for

1. Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese (simplified and/or traditional characters), with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages

2. Proven experience as a translator or interpreter in a professional business environment, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors

3. Strong understanding of foam manufacturing, materials science, or related industrial terminology is highly desirable

4. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple translation projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

5. Proficiency in translation software and Microsoft Office applications

6. Cultural awareness and sensitivity to nuances in communication across different business contexts

7. High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all translations

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team within the administration function

9. Professional certification in translation or interpretation (preferred but not essential)
