Bioinformatics Coordinator (Full WFO)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Biology, or a related field.

• Minimum 2–4 years of professional experience in bioinformatics, genomics, or computational biology.

• Hands-on experience in genomic sequencing analysis, including WGS, WES, RNA-Seq, or 16S sequencing.

• Proficiency in Python, Bash/Shell scripting, and bioinformatics analysis pipelines.

• Strong understanding of biostatistics, genomic databases, and biological data management.

• Experience coordinating bioinformatics projects or collaborating with multidisciplinary teams is preferred.

• Familiarity with Linux environments, version control (Git), workflow management systems, or cloud computing is an advantage.

• Familiarity with laboratory quality management systems (e.g., ISO 15189 or ISO 17025) and data security practices is an advantage.

• Excellent analytical thinking, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

• Lead cross-functional coordination in bioinformatics data analysis to support commercial genomic services.

• Lead the development, quality control, maintenance, and documentation of genomic data analysis pipelines.

• Oversee and ensure the security of genomic data during storage (databases) and transmission across internal systems and external user interactions.

• Develop training materials and serve as the lead facilitator for bioinformatics training programs supporting commercial services.

• Prepare, review, and maintain operational documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other bioinformatics operational documentation.

• Manage administrative activities related to bioinformatics technologies, including payment requests, invoice reviews, and other operational support.

• Develop cost estimates for bioinformatics services and support periodic pricing reviews in collaboration with the Head of Laboratory.
