Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead - (Java , React Native) - Full Remote

Role Overview
We’re seeking a seasoned Technical Lead (Backend Java) who excels in both hands‑on development and team leadership. This hybrid role balances technical execution with managerial responsibilities, contributing primarily to backend system design and development while guiding a high‑performing engineering team. You’ll drive digital transformation initiatives, ensure timely delivery of quality solutions, and shape the technical roadmap.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership (30%)

• Mentor and lead software engineers, fostering a collaborative and accountable team culture.

• Manage sprint planning, task distribution, and progress tracking to ensure efficient delivery.

• Act as the main technical liaison for stakeholders, aligning development efforts with business objectives.

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high engineering standards.

• Support team growth through coaching, performance evaluations, and skill development.

Technical Development (70%)

• Architect and build scalable backend services and enterprise applications using Java (Spring Boot, microservices).

• Design and implement RESTful APIs, ensuring secure and efficient communication across systems.

• Integrate with AWS services (e.g., API Gateway, Lambda, RDS, S3) to deliver cloud‑native solutions.

• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability through continuous improvement.

• Evaluate emerging backend and cloud technologies for potential adoption to enhance team capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• At least 5 years of backend development experience with strong expertise in Java.

• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and AWS cloud services.

• 2+ years of exposure to full stack development (Java + React Native/ReactJS) is an advantage.

• Proven success in leading development teams and delivering complex software projects.

• Deep understanding of cloud‑native practices, CI/CD pipelines, and API integration.

• Candidates without management experience will be considered for Senior Backend Developer.

Bonus skills include React Native, .NET framework, and knowledge of financial systems such as Trading, Data Warehousing, Accounting, Reporting, Payment Gateway, and KYC/AML. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Self-driven and adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
