Electrical Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

The CME / Electrical Engineer is responsible for the planning, design review, implementation, and monitoring of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and auxiliary system requirements for telecommunications projects. The role ensures that all site infrastructure and electrical works are executed in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to evaluate project requirements and site readiness.
• Prepare and review CME and electrical designs, drawings, layouts, and technical documents.
• Assess site conditions and recommend appropriate civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical solutions.
• Review project scope, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to support project implementation activities.
• Monitor site activities and ensure works are completed according to approved designs, schedules, and quality standards.
• Inspect and verify the installation of electrical systems, power distribution facilities, grounding systems, and related infrastructure.
• Identify technical issues and provide appropriate recommendations and corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, punch lists, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations during project execution.
• Attend coordination meetings, site inspections, testing, commissioning, and project acceptance activities with clients.
• Support project turnover and documentation requirements upon project completion.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Licensed Electrical Engineer is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, grounding systems, and site infrastructure requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and engineering design software such as AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willing to conduct fieldwork and travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2–5 years of experience in telecommunications, infrastructure, construction, or CME-related projects.
• Experience in telecom network deployment, IBS/DAS implementation, fiber optic projects, or tower infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with telecommunications site standards, electrical load computations, grounding systems, and power backup solutions.
• Experience in site construction supervision, contractor management, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC).
• Knowledge of relevant engineering codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction plans.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design or project management tools.
• Experience in preparing project documentation, technical reports, material estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working under minimal supervision.
