Key Responsibilities (Job Description)

1. Academic Excellence: Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans for Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Economics, ensuring students grasp both microeconomic and macroeconomic theories.
2. Real-World Application: Bridge the gap between textbook theory and current global economic events to foster critical thinking and analytical skills.
3. Assessment & Mentorship: Conduct regular assessments, provide detailed feedback, and prepare students for success in their external Cambridge examinations.
4. Collaborative Innovation: Work with the Humanities Department to develop integrated projects and participate in continuous professional development.
5. Engagement: Contribute to the school community through student clubs (e.g., Business or Investment clubs) and school-wide events.

Who We Are Looking For (Requirements)

1. Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Economics, Economics Education, or a related field from a reputable university.
2. Experience: Proven experience teaching the Cambridge Curriculum (IGCSE/A-Level) for at least 3 years.
3. Language Proficiency: High level of English proficiency is essential, as Economics requires the ability to explain nuanced arguments clearly.
4. Analytical Mindset: Strong understanding of data interpretation and the ability to teach students how to analyze economic trends.
5. Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for teaching, and the ability to adapt to a multicultural environment.
