Oversees the financial operations of the Bangalow Pty. Ltd, that is, the resorts and all
Marand Properties, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and
compliance, to ensure accurate financial management and support business growth.
II. Key Responsibilities- 1. Financial Reporting:
- a. Prepare and analyze financial reports for the
- resort’s management team.
- b. Ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
a. Develop and manage the resort’s annual budget.
b. Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis.
3. Cost Control:
a. Implement cost control measures to optimize expenses.
b. Analyze operational costs and identify areas for improvement.
4. Revenue Management:
a. Contribute to revenue management strategies to maximize profitability.
b. Monitor revenue streams and identify opportunities for growth.
5. Audit and Compliance:
a. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
b. Coordinate internal and external audits as needed.
6. Financial Planning:
a. Collaborate with resort and other properties management to develop financial plans aligned with organizational goals.
b. Provide financial insights to support decision-making.
7. Team Leadership:
a. Lead the accounting team and provide guidance to staff.
b. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
8. Financial Analysis:
a. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.
b. Identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
9. Technology Integration:
a. Leverage financial management software and technology for efficient and accurate record-keeping.
b. Stay updated on industry-relevant financial technology.
III.
Qualifications
§ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA certification preferred,
§ With 5 to 6 years of demonstrated accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality
or food and beverage environment, and quality with a background that includes
forecasting and budgeting.

§ General Ledger Reconciliation Rate – measures
percentage of accounts reconciled monthly

accurate tax filings.
