We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Equipment & Logistics Supervisor to oversee our supply chain, fleet management, and equipment maintenance operations. This role is critical to ensuring our projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety.
Position Summary
The Equipment & Logistics Supervisor will manage the day-to-day logistics, inventory control, and maintenance of all company equipment and assets. You will coordinate the safe and efficient transport of machinery, tools, and materials to various job sites, manage a team of drivers/technicians, and optimize warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
Dispatch & Transport: Coordinate, schedule, and oversee the daily dispatch of equipment, vehicles, and materials to various project sites.
Route Optimization: Plan efficient delivery routes to minimize transit times, reduce fuel consumption, and ensure on-time arrivals.
Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party transport providers, freight forwarders, and equipment rental companies to secure competitive rates and reliable service.
Equipment & Asset Management
Preventative Maintenance: Establish and oversee a strict maintenance schedule for all company vehicles, heavy machinery, and specialized tools to minimize downtime.
Tracking & Allocation: Utilize asset-tracking software to monitor the real-time location, usage, and status of all equipment.
Repairs & Troubleshooting: Coordinate swift repairs for broken or malfunctioning gear, deciding whether to fix items in-house or outsource to external vendors.
Inventory & Warehouse Control
Stock Audits: Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile them against the digital database to prevent loss or discrepancies.
Storage Optimization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, ensuring efficient space utilization.
Procurement Support: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the procurement team to order spare parts, tools, and consumables before shortages occur.
Team Leadership & Safety
Supervision: Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, drivers, and maintenance technicians.
HSE Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols during the loading, transport, and operation of equipment.
Qualifications
Experience & Education
Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in logistics, fleet management, or equipment coordination in Event Organizer / Warehouse
Leadership: At least 1–2 years of experience leading or supervising a team.
