Production Engineer Assistant Manager - Rubber - Cikande (B-132420)

About The Company:

• The working venue is in Banten.

• Our client is a Manufacturing (Rubber Machinery) Company. Currently, they are looking for Production Engineer Assistant Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze and improve the manufacturing flow from mixing to vulcanization, eliminating waste in time and resources.

• Operate and develop preventive maintenance plans for major machinery, including Banbury mixers, open mills, calenders, and forming machines.

• Set and control critical process parameters (temperature, pressure, and curing time) during vulcanization to prevent defects such as scorching and porosity.

• Conduct basic design and evaluation of molds, jigs, and fixtures to improve production and assembly efficiency.

• Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including yield, reject rate, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing methodologies and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

• Promote standardization in accordance with quality standards such as ISO 9001, and ensure compliance with occupational safety and health (K3) protocols in environments involving high-temperature machinery and hazardous chemicals.

• Provide guidance on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to production operators and collaborate closely with the Maintenance and R&D departments to support the mass production of new rubber compounds.

• Lead and manage the Production Engineering team, and report operational performance and project progress to Japanese management.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's (S1) degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• More than 10 years of experience as a Production Engineer, with the majority of career experience in the rubber manufacturing industry.

• Strong management and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

• In-depth knowledge of the structure and operation of rubber manufacturing machinery (e.g., mixers, forming machines, and related equipment), as well as expertise in vulcanization (curing) process control.

• Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles.

• Strong understanding of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, and occupational safety and health (K3) standards in manufacturing environments.
