About the role

We are seeking a skilled Translator Mandarin to join PT QILING GUORUN MAOYI on a full-time basis. This is a unique opportunity to work in the dynamic sales industry whilst utilising your language expertise to bridge communication gaps between our organisation and Mandarin-speaking clients and partners. Based in Pasar Kemis, Banten, this role is pivotal in supporting our sales operations and facilitating meaningful business relationships through accurate and culturally sensitive translation services. You will play a critical role in enabling our sales team to communicate effectively with international clients, ensuring that no language barrier impedes our business growth and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

1. Provide accurate and timely translation services from Mandarin Chinese to Indonesian (and vice versa) for sales-related documents, communications and presentations

2. Support sales consultants during client meetings, negotiations and discussions with Mandarin-speaking partners and clients

3. Translate commercial contracts, proposals, agreements and other business documentation with precision and attention to detail

4. Assist in the localisation of marketing materials and sales collateral for Mandarin-speaking markets

5. Facilitate clear communication during virtual and in-person meetings between the sales team and international stakeholders

6. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive business information

7. Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure accurate conveyance of product features, pricing and terms

8. Provide cultural guidance to support effective business interactions and relationship building

What we're looking for

1. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Indonesian, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages

2. Professional experience in translation, particularly within a sales, commercial or business environment

3. Strong understanding of sales terminology and business concepts in both languages

4. Proven ability to work accurately under tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards

5. Exceptional attention to detail and cultural awareness to ensure nuanced and contextually appropriate translations

6. Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams and adapt communication style to diverse audiences

7. Certification in translation or relevant qualifications in linguistics or language studies (preferred)

8. Experience in the import/export or trading industry (advantageous)

9. Professional demeanour and discretion when handling confidential business matters
