Internship Interior Designer

About the role

Arke Studio is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Internship Interior Designer to join our creative team in Bali. This is a full-time internship opportunity that offers hands-on experience in the interior design industry. As an Internship Interior Designer, you will work alongside experienced professionals to develop your skills in spatial planning, design concept development, and project execution. This role is instrumental in supporting our design team whilst providing you with invaluable practical experience in a dynamic and creative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development of interior design concepts and mood boards for client projects

• Support the creation of design drawings, floor plans and 3D visualisations using industry-standard software

• Conduct research on design trends, materials, furnishings and colour palettes to enhance project development

• Participate in site visits and client meetings to gather project requirements and measurements

• Assist in the selection and sourcing of materials, finishes and furniture for various design projects

• Support the preparation of design presentations and proposal documents for clients

• Collaborate with other team members on design solutions and project implementation

• Document project progress and maintain organised project files and records

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or a related creative discipline

• A strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, creativity and attention to detail

• Proficiency or willingness to learn design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or similar programmes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• A keen eye for aesthetics, proportions, colour theory and spatial design

• Enthusiasm for learning and a genuine passion for interior design

• Preferably, experience or familiarity with Balinese design aesthetics or tropical design concepts would be advantageous
