QA Engineer

About the role

PT Mozaik Bintang Persada is seeking a dedicated QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team on-site in Mega Kuningan, Jakarta on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our clients software products through comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes. As a QA Engineer, you will play a critical part in maintaining our high standards of product excellence, identifying defects before they reach our users, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes. What you'll be doing

1. Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications across various platforms and environments

2. Perform manual and automated testing to identify bugs, defects, and inconsistencies in functionality, performance, and usability

3. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure thorough test coverage

4. Create and maintain detailed documentation of test results, including defect reports with clear reproduction steps and severity levels

5. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency

6. Conduct regression testing to verify that fixes do not introduce new issues or negatively impact existing functionality

7. Participate in quality assurance reviews and contribute to the refinement of testing methodologies and best practices

8. Monitor and analyse test metrics to identify trends, assess product quality, and recommend improvements

9. Support the implementation of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with appropriate quality gates

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in QA

2. Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in QA testing, quality assurance, or a related role

3. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing

4. Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar technologies

5. Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent platforms

6. Solid knowledge of SQL and database testing concepts

7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

8. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Indonesian language proficiency is advantageous

9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

10. Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies is preferred

11. Experience with API testing and web services testing is a plus
