IT Support Staff
Company : Kapit Mas
Placement : Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia
Non-Negotiable : Willing to relocate to Bali
We’re looking for an IT Support Specialist with advanced Linux (Ubuntu) command-line skills, strong hardware troubleshooting abilities, and hands-on experience with desktop and network support. You will manage and support internal systems, end-user hardware/software, and network-level troubleshooting across a mixed OS environment.
Qualifications
Proven work experience as an IT Support Specialist or relevant experience
Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
Key Requirements: IT Support Role
1. Advanced Networking Skills
o Ability to engineer route-based IP network solutions.
o Experience diagnosing and resolving complex issues in multi-vendor network environments.
o Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewall, wireless connectivity, and VPNs.
o Proven ability to address network faults to restore connectivity and prevent downtime.
o Experience with core networking CLI tools on Ubuntu, and ability to diagnose common issues.
2. Ubuntu Linux & Windows Expertise
o Desktop & Server environments
o Advanced CLI operations
o Must have hands-on experience with both Ubuntu Desktop and Server.
o CUPS printing administration expertise
o Proficient with command-line operations, package management (APT), and user administration.
3. Hardware & End-User Support
o Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
o Install and configure new hardware and software.
o Perform routine maintenance, updates, and repairs on computer systems.
4. System Monitoring & Diagnostics
o Monitor systems in operation to swiftly identify and resolve errors.
o Diagnose complex technical problems methodically.
5. Interpersonal & Soft Skills
o Deliver training sessions to customers/end-users.
o Excellent communication skills for enhancing customer satisfaction.
o Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
o Patience and a customer-focused attitude.
o Time Management & Prioritization
