Field Service Technician, Cakung (North Jakarta) or Handil (East Kalimantan)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician with strong mechanical and electrical expertise to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at customer sites, ensuring high levels of service quality and customer satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements

Education:

• Vocational High School (SMK) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of field service experience in oil & gas, machinery, or heavy-duty equipment industries; OR

• Diploma (D3) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of field service experience in the oil and gas industry.

Certifications & Skills:

• Valid Journeyman certification as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic, Natural Gas Compression Technician, Automotive Technician, or Millwright.

• Strong knowledge of engine, generator, and compressor performance and operations.

• Experience with Waukesha, Ariel, Jenbacher, and Caterpillar (CAT) equipment is an advantage.

• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Hands-on experience with tools, instruments, and diagnostic equipment.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Team player, highly motivated, and well-organized.

• Clean driving record (driver's abstract must be provided at the time of hire).

• Basic English proficiency is mandatory.

Placement:

• Cakung (North Jakarta) or Handil (East Kalimantan)

Availability: Candidates must be available to attend in-person recruitment sessions as scheduled below:

• Jakarta: 26–27 June 2026

• Balikpapan: 11 July 2026

Responsibilities and Duties

• Working on medium to large stationary natural gas equipment: including but not limited to, engines, compressors (reciprocating), panels, generator packages.

• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections.

• Perform all aspects of repairs and overhauls within established time guidelines.

• Troubleshoot equipment (Engine, Compressors, Generator) malfunctions using high attention to detail and experience to solve the problem.

• Working with a team to provide installation and commissioning of new packages.

• Supervise the maintenance and installation of packages as required.

• Collaborate with the Service Manager on repair strategies to accurately inform customer quotes.

• Maintain and develop positive professional relationships with existing and potential internal and external customers.

• Participate in internal and external training courses as an opportunity for career growth and development.
