Role Overview
The Senior Analyst Accountant will work closely with the Finance Head to strengthen accounting accuracy, financial analysis, internal controls, process improvement, and digitalization initiatives. This role is designed as a future finance leadership talent pipeline, supporting the continuous improvement of the accounting function while maintaining strong collaboration with the Accounting Manager and accounting teams. Demonstrated ability to drive improvement initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting Excellence & Closing Support
· Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
· Review accounting entries and ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Perform deep-dive analysis on accounting movements and financial results.
· Identify accounting risks and improvement opportunities.
2. Financial Analysis & Business Insight
· Provide analysis on profitability, cost movement, and financial performance.
· Prepare management insights beyond financial reporting.
· Highlight abnormal trends, risks, and potential financial improvements.
3. Process Improvement & Digitalization
· Review current accounting processes and identify improvement opportunities.
· Support automation and digitalization initiatives.
· Improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls within accounting processes.
4. Internal Control & Audit Support
· Strengthen accounting controls and compliance.
· Support statutory audit preparation and coordination.
· Ensure proper documentation and process governance.
5. Leadership Development Role
· Act as a key accounting talent supporting Head Finance initiatives.
· Close Collaborate with Accounting Manager, AP team, and Reporting team to improve overall accounting effectiveness.
· Lead improvement projects without direct reports
What We’re Looking For:
Experience & Technical Capability
Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit environment with strong exposure to full-cycle accounting.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including month-end closing, financial reporting, journal review, reconciliation, inventory/accounting analysis, and tax compliance.
Audit background or professional qualification such as CPA / ACCA / CMA is highly preferred.
Experience in a dynamic business environment with strong process and control requirements.
Business Mindset & Analytical Capability
Strong analytical thinking with the ability to understand the story behind the numbers, not only prepare reports.
Able to perform deep-dive analysis on financial performance, profitability, cost movements, and identify improvement opportunities.
Proactive in identifying financial risks, process gaps, inefficiencies, and potential value creation opportunities.
Able to provide meaningful insights to support management decision-making.
Process Improvement & Digital Capability
Strong interest and capability in improving accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
Experience in ERP implementation, process automation, or reporting improvement is an advantage.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as Business Central, Oracle, SAP, or Power BI.
