Digital Media Content Creator

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a talented and creativeDigital Media Content Creatorto support our community engagement efforts by designing and producing high-quality visual and video assets for social media, marketing, and promotional use. This role is ideal for someone passionate about content creation, digital media, and brand storytelling. You will work closely with theCommunity Managerto develop engaging visuals, videos, and marketing materials that resonate with our audience.

Freelancer Status Notice:

This is anindependent contractorposition. Freelancers arenotemployees of Barks & Rec or its vendors/partners. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for managing your own taxes, insurance, and compliance with applicable laws. This role does not include employee benefits, workers' compensation, or other employment-related provisions.

Position Details:

• Expected Hours:4 hours per week
• Location:Remote
• Flexibility:Choose your own hours, deadlines set by project requirements
• Education:No formal education required, but experience in digital media, graphic design, video editing, or marketing is a plus

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong skills ingraphic design, video editing, and digital content creation
• Familiarity withAdobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator), or similar enterprise-grade tools
• Ability to createengaging social media content, including posters, motion graphics, and short-form video (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
• Basic understanding ofsocial media trendsand how to tailor content for different platforms
• Strongattention to detail and visual storytelling skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with theCommunity ManagerandDirector of Operations

Requirements

Design & Content Creation

• Design and produceeye-catching graphics, posters, and digital assetsfor use across Discord, Telegram, Patreon, Bluesky, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms
• Createshort-form video contentfor social media (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) andmotion graphicsfor engagement
• Edit and enhanceexisting photos/videosfor marketing use

Collaboration & Strategy

• Work closely with theCommunity Managerto ensure content aligns with brand identity and engagement strategy
• Developtemplates and reusable assetsto streamline content creation
• Assist inadapting contentfor various social media platforms

File Management & Optimization

• Organize and maintain alibrary of assets(graphics, videos, animations) for easy access by the Community Manager
• Optimizevideo and image file sizesfor different platforms without losing quality

Reporting & Revisions

• Collect feedback from the Community Manager and revise assets as needed
• Provide basicperformance insightson content effectiveness (which posts/videos perform best, engagement levels, etc.)
