Job Role
The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading regional logistics operations, warehousing, transportation management, reverse logistics, and third-party logistics (3PL) performance to ensure efficient and secure supply chain execution. Acting as the primary logistics leader for the assigned region, this role oversees logistics resource planning, supplier performance, operational compliance, and risk mitigation while supporting project delivery requirements. The position requires a customer-focused and highly organized professional capable of optimizing logistics operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring seamless coordination between internal stakeholders and external logistics partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage short- and medium-term logistics resource plans to support project delivery requirements.
- Oversee warehouse operations, transportation activities, reverse logistics, inventory movements, and logistics compliance across the assigned region.
- Coordinate logistics implementation and provide on-site support for project deployment, warehouse setup, and operational execution.
- Lead the performance management of third-party logistics providers (3PL), transportation vendors, and warehouse partners through regular performance monitoring and process improvement initiatives.
- Review logistics costs, transportation expenses, and supplier invoices to ensure operational efficiency and budget compliance.
- Implement logistics risk management strategies covering transportation safety, hazardous materials handling, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain, procurement, project management, and regional teams to ensure timely and efficient logistics execution.
- Monitor logistics KPIs, prepare operational reports, and recommend continuous improvements to strengthen overall supply chain performance.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management with strong exposure to warehousing, transportation, reverse logistics, and supplier performance management.
- Minimum 3 years of managerial or team leadership experience within the ICT, telecommunications, technology, logistics, or large-scale supply chain industries.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management, transportation operations, reverse logistics, international trade, customs processes, freight management, and logistics compliance.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers (3PL), transportation vendors, warehouse operations, and supplier performance.
- Good understanding of telecommunications equipment logistics, order fulfillment processes, and project-based logistics operations.
- Strong knowledge of logistics budgeting, operational cost management, and financial monitoring.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Highly resilient, adaptable, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure operational environment.
- Strong ownership mindset with the flexibility to support critical project activities outside regular working hours when required.
- Professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is mandatory due to frequent communication with overseas suppliers and global headquarters.
