Service Technician for Forklift

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-related problems.
• Repair and replace defective parts such as brakes, tires, batteries, hydraulic components, and electrical systems.
• conduct safety inspections and functional tests after repairs.
• Troubleshoot engine, transmission, steering, and hydraulic system issues.
• Rad and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Prepare service reports and document repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and manufacturer standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Respond to on-site service calls and emergency repairs when required.
• Coordinate with supervisors and customers regarding equipment status and repair recommendations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Automotive Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related vocational course.
• TESDA NC II in Automotive Servicing, Heavy Equipment Servicing, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in forklift, automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of diesel and LPG engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read technical manuals and use diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit and willing to perform field service assignments.
• Willing to work overtime and travel to client sites when necessary.
