Head of Homeroom (School Psychologist)
This role combines educational psychology, student wellbeing, teacher mentoring, and homeroom development to support the holistic growth of students in an Sunnah learning environment.
A school psychologist/counselor typically supports students’ social-emotional development, collaborates with teachers and parents, and helps build a healthy school culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise homeroom systems and student wellbeing programs
Support students’ emotional, behavioral, social, and learning development
Conduct student observations and provide recommendations/interventions when needed
Collaborate closely with homeroom teachers, school leaders, and parents
Provide guidance and coaching for homeroom teachers regarding classroom culture and student support
Assist in creating a positive Sunnah character-building environment
Support school programs related to safeguarding, discipline, and student development
Handle student counseling sessions and referrals when necessary
Develop and evaluate wellbeing and character education initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Psychology (Educational/Clinical Psychology preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience working with children or within school environments
Strong understanding of child development and student wellbeing
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Able to work professionally with parents, teachers, and leadership teams
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and comfortable communicating in English
Passionate about Sunnah education and student character development
Experience in international or Cambridge-based schools is a plus
