Senior Drafter

The Senior Drafter is responsible for leading the production, development, and verification of all engineering drawings (shop drawings and as-built drawings) for construction projects. This role serves as a vital technical bridge between the Architects/Engineers and the Site Execution Team, ensuring that all structural and architectural details are accurate, buildable, and delivered on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Detailed Drafting: Create complex 2D shop drawings and 3D/BIM models for structural, architectural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.

• Supervision & Review: Verify, revise, and validate drawing submittals prepared 3rd parties before submission to the Project Manager or Project Engineer.

• Technical Coordination: Coordinate closely with the Engineering and Quantity Surveyor (QS) teams to eliminate design conflicts (clash detection) and optimize material volumes.

• Drawing Control Management: Maintain the project drawing log and revision system to ensure the site execution team always works with the latest approved versions.

• Site Verification: Conduct physical site surveys and field measurements to verify that actual site conditions match the design plans.

• As-Built Documentation: Compile final as-built drawings as part of the official project handover documentation to the client.

• Working English proficiency to read technical manuals, equipment specifications, and engineering drawings/documents in English; communicate with overseas equipment suppliers/vendors for installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting support; and prepare technical reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree or above majoring Architecture/Civil Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Drafter in medium to large-scale construction projects (High-Rise Buildings, Infrastructure, or Industrial Plants).

• BIM Software Proficiency (Preferred): Proficiency in BIM (Building Information Modeling) platforms such as Autodesk Revit, Tekla Structures, or ArchiCAD is highly advantageous.

• Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately translate complex engineering calculations from Structural Engineers into clear, actionable visual details for field workers.

• Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for precision regarding dimensions, scales, and potential cross-disciplinary design clashes.
