Senior QC Engineer (Mechanical)

About the role

PT DCI Indonesia, Tbk is seeking an experienced Senior QC Engineer (Mechanical) to join our Quality Assurance & Control team. This is a full-time position based in Bekasi Regency, West Java. As Senior QC Engineer (Mechanical), you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and mechanical integrity across our data center project. You will be responsible for planning, inspecting, and verifying that all mechanical works within the data center, including HVAC, precision cooling, chilled water piping, fire suppression, and plumbing systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

1. Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and method statements prior to execution.

2. Perform inspection and testing of HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water and piping systems, ductwork, and fire protection/suppression systems.

3. Witness and verify pressure testing, flushing, leak testing, and system commissioning activities.

4. Prepare and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and QC inspection reports.

5. Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.

6. Coordinate with mechanical contractors/subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ASME).

1. Support Testing, Adjusting and Balancing (TAB) and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) activities.

2. Ensure proper documentation and handover packages (QC dossiers, as-built verification, punch lists).

3. Conduct site walkdowns and audits to verify workmanship quality and safety compliance.

4. Liaise with consultants, clients, and third-party inspection bodies during inspections and audits.
   

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

2. Minimum 8–10 years of QC experience in MEP/mechanical construction, with at least 3–5 years on data center or mission-critical facility projects.

3. Strong knowledge of HVAC, precision cooling systems, piping, and fire protection systems.

4. Familiarity with data center industry standards (Uptime Institute Tier standards, TIA-942, ASHRAE Thermal Guidelines).

5. Certification such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), CSWIP, or equivalent QC/QA certification is an advantage.

6. Experience with commissioning processes (Level 1–5 / IST) for data centers preferred.

7. Proficient in reading mechanical shop drawings and P&IDs.

8. Good command of English (written and verbal) for reporting and coordination.
