Mahatma Gandhi School is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and qualified School Counselor to support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of our students. Key Responsibilities
Provide individual and small-group counseling to students experiencing academic, emotional, behavioral, or social challenges.
Support students' social-emotional learning (SEL) and overall wellbeing.
Conduct observations, assessments, and develop appropriate intervention plans.
Collaborate with teachers, school leaders, and parents to support students' development and learning needs.
Identify and support students requiring additional educational or psychological intervention.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records and counseling documentation.
Organize and deliver wellbeing programs, workshops, and awareness activities for students, parents, and staff.
Assist in crisis intervention and safeguarding matters when necessary.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe school environment.
Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings regarding student support.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Psychology, Guidance & Counseling, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
Licensed Psychologist (Psikolog) is highly preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a School Counselor, Educational Psychologist, Guidance Counselor, or in a similar role.
Experience working in an international or Cambridge/IB school is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development.
Experience in counseling, psychological assessment, and student intervention.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high professional ethics.
Passionate about supporting student wellbeing and working collaboratively within a multicultural environment.
