Tax Manager

About the role

Titan Infra Energy Group is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our finance team on a full-time basis in Tangerang, Banten. This is a strategic position within our accounting and taxation department, where you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of tax compliance, planning and reporting for the organisation. As Tax Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the company maintains full compliance with Indonesian tax regulations whilst optimising our tax position and providing expert guidance to senior management on tax-related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies to minimise tax liability whilst ensuring full compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations

• Prepare and file all required tax returns, including corporate income tax, value-added tax (VAT), payroll tax and other statutory tax obligations

• Manage tax audits and correspondence with tax authorities, representing the company during tax examinations and disputes

• Oversee transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with arm's length principles for related-party transactions

• Conduct regular tax risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential tax exposures

• Lead and supervise the tax compliance team, including junior tax staff and accounting personnel involved in tax matters

• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation to support all tax filings and potential audit defences

• Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors and consultants as required to ensure best practices in tax management

• Provide timely and accurate tax reporting and analysis to finance leadership and executive management

• Stay abreast of changes in Indonesian tax legislation and assess the impact on the company's tax position

• Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors on tax-related matters

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or related field

• Professional tax certification such as Brevet A dan B (Sertifikat Pendidikan Pajak) or equivalent qualification

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in tax management and compliance, preferably within a mid-to-large organisation or professional tax advisory firm

• Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax law, including income tax, VAT, and payroll tax regulations

• Experience in tax planning, transfer pricing and tax risk management

• Proficiency with tax accounting software and financial management systems

• Excellent communication skills in both Indonesian and English, with the ability to explain complex tax matters to non-technical stakeholders

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

• Experience managing and mentoring junior team members is highly valued

• Knowledge of energy sector taxation is preferred
