We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Finance, Accounting & Tax professional to support our growing business in Indonesia.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is willing to handle end-to-end Finance, Accounting, Tax, and operational support.
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Accounting, Finance & Tax professional to join PT Softel Communication Indonesia on a contract basis. This is a critical position based in Jakarta Barat, Jakarta Raya, where you will take on a strategic role responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization maintains robust financial controls, accurate financial statements, and full regulatory compliance with Indonesian tax regulations and accounting standards. This position reports to senior management and directly impacts the financial integrity and strategic decision-making of the company.
Job Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
Handle daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare journal entries, General Ledger (GL), trial balance, and supporting schedules.
Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Perform bank reconciliation and cash flow monitoring.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
Support budgeting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
Tax
Calculate, prepare, and submit monthly and annual tax reports.
Handle PPh 21, PPh 23, PPh 26, PPh 4(2), PPN, and Corporate Income Tax.
Prepare tax reconciliations.
Issue tax invoices (e-Faktur) and withholding tax certificates (e-Bupot).
Operate Coretax and other Indonesian tax systems.
Ensure compliance with Indonesian tax regulations.
Coordinate with tax consultants and tax authorities when required.
Payroll & HR Administration
Process monthly payroll.
Handling Employee Offering Letter until Work Contract.
Calculate employee income tax (PPh 21).
Prepare payslips.
Manage BPJS Kesehatan and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan administration.
Handle employee reimbursement and allowance calculations.
Import & Operational Support
Coordinate import payment documents.
Support import documentation and customs-related administration.
Liaise with banks regarding international payments.
Coordinate with logistics, suppliers, and freight forwarders.
Assist management in administrative and operational matters when required.
ERP & System
Maintain accounting records in ERP/accounting systems.
Ensure transaction accuracy within the ERP.
Improve accounting and finance processes.
Support implementation of new financial procedures and internal controls.
Reporting
Prepare reports requested by local management and headquarters.
Provide financial data and analysis for business decision-making.
Assist during internal and external audits.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting & Tax.
Good written and spoken English is a must.
Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle.
Good knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations.
Experience in financial statement preparation.
Familiar with AP, AR, GL, Bank Reconciliation, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting.
Experience with Coretax, e-Faktur, and e-Bupot.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF, Lookup Functions).
Experience using ERP or accounting software (ECOUNT ERP, SAP, NetSuite, Accurate, or similar).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently.
Willing to work in a startup environment.
Available to start immediately.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in import/export or trading companies.
Experience working with multinational companies.
Experience handling payroll and BPJS.
Experience coordinating with external auditors and tax consultants.
Familiarity with international payments and foreign currency transactions.
