ABOUT CORAL CATCH
Coral Catch is a female-led organization founded in Indonesia in 2021. We work at the intersection of two closely connected challenges: the rapid decline of coral reef ecosystems and the lack of access for female professionals to technical and leadership roles within marine conservation.
Our approach focuses on building local, long-term capacity. Through training, hands-on experience, research opportunities and mentorship, we empower Indonesian female practitioners and coastal communities to actively participate in conservation, scientific research, and sustainable tourism. Since our founding, 44 scholars have graduated from our award-winning scholarship program and all of them are actively engaged in marine conservation and sustainable tourism. Together, they now form the largest network of local female experts working together in marine conservation in Southeast Asia. Our vision is to build a network of a minimum of 100 female leaders working alongside their communities to protect and restore coral reefs across Indonesia and beyond by 2030.
Note: This position is currently advertised through Yayasan Gili Matra Bersama while the organisation is in the process of officially transitioning to Yayasan Coral Catch Indonesia.
