Job responsibilities
1. Strategic Operations & Full Delivery (Execution & Problem-Solving)
Orchestrate complex multi-workshop production flow, resolve PMC synchronization bottlenecks, and ensure "simultaneous production" across upholstery, metal, wood, and packaging workshops to drastically reduce WIP, increase turnover, and overcome delivery challenges.
Assume ultimate responsibility for on-time, in-full, and quality order delivery, establishing rapid response mechanisms for exceptions and urgent demands.
Optimize supply chain planning and inventory strategies for China-imported materials to ensure production continuity.
2. System Building & Lean Operations (Foundation & Optimization)
Lead the design and implementation of complete processes, policies, and technical standards (SOPs) covering production, quality, engineering, equipment, and warehousing, transitioning the plant from "people-dependent" to "system-driven."
Establish a plant-level management dashboard and KPI system, insisting on "data-driven decisions" to diagnose issues and drive continuous improvement.
Comprehensively implement Lean tools (e.g., VSM, 5S, TPM, standardized work) to systematically eliminate waste and drive cost reduction and efficiency gains.
3. Organizational Development & Team Building (Talent & Empowerment)
Recruit, develop, and lead a mid-to-senior management team with a modern mindset and execution capability.
Establish a training system aligned with business growth to systematically enhance the team's technical, quality, and Lean application skills.
Foster a culture of customer-centricity, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
4. New Plant Launch & Capacity Expansion (Planning & Execution)
Lead the commissioning, process validation, capacity ramp-up, and safe launch of new production lines.
Plan and execute the expansion from 700 to over 2,000 employees, ensuring synchronized support from manpower, equipment, and management systems.
Establish effective project management mechanisms to ensure the stable introduction and mass production of new processes and product categories.
Requirements:
Language Proficiency: Full business fluency in both Chinese and English (written and spoken), capable of using both as working languages.
Industry & Experience: Over 15 years of manufacturing operations management experience, including at least 5 years of proven experience as a Plant General Manager or equivalent in a large-scale (1,000+ employees) discrete manufacturing facility. A background in furniture, appliances, automotive parts, or similar multi-category, complex assembly industries is crucial.
Lean Expert: Proven track record of systematically implementing Lean Manufacturing and delivering significant financial results (e.g., efficiency gains, cost reduction, delivery improvement).
System Builder: Demonstrated experience in successfully building a plant operational management system from scratch or from chaos to order, with expertise in processes, standards, and KPI systems.
Complex Problem Solver: Exceptional ability to oversee the big picture and manage high-pressure challenges, with experience in turning around operations or leading new plant startups.
Preferred Requirements
Experience managing large plants in Vietnam or Southeast Asia, with familiarity with the local business environment.
Strong financial acumen to understand plant P&L and formulate cost-control strategies.
Experience managing supply chains highly dependent on imported materials, particularly from China.
Educational background in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, with a deep understanding of equipment and processes.
