PANTOW & ASSOCIATES LAW OFFICE (PALO) is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Associate to join our growing team. If you have a strong background in corporate legal practice and are eager to work in a dynamic, progressive law firm, we encourage you to apply.
🔎 Key Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end legal representation and assistance in court proceedings. This includes drafting and reviewing lawsuits (Gugatan), answers (Jawaban), rebuttals (Replik), rejoinders (Duplik), and legal pleadings/conclusions (Kesimpulan) based on applicable laws.
- Provide comprehensive legal support in corporate matters, including the preparation and execution of Annual and Extraordinary General Meetings of Shareholders (AGM/EGM), drafting circular resolutions, and managing corporate secretarial tasks.
- Draft, review, and analyze commercial agreements, corporate contracts, and litigation-related documents, providing strategic feedback to ensure client interests are protected.
- Conduct and lead Legal Due Diligence (LDD) for various corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring, to identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
- Provide expert legal advice on employment and labor law matters, including the drafting of PKWT/PKWTT (Fixed-Term/Indefinite-Term) agreements and ensuring compliance with Manpower regulations.
- Deep expertise in Civil and Criminal Procedural Law, State Administrative Court Procedure (PTUN), as well as procedural law within the Industrial Relations Court (PHI)
- Experienced in managing the entire litigation process, from case registration (including e-Court and e-Litigation systems) and attending evidentiary hearings, to supervising the execution of court decisions.
- Capable of conducting independent, in-depth legal research to build robust legal reasoning, sourcing relevant jurisprudence, and mapping out legal risks for clients.
- Experienced in coordinating and providing legal assistance at law enforcement agencies (Police & Prosecutor's Office), and highly proficient in representing clients in mediation and out-of-court negotiations (Bipartite/Tripartite/Legal Notices) to achieve optimal resolutions prior to litigation.
✅ Key Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a law firm, with a strong background in both litigation and corporate/non-litigation practices.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian corporate law, governance, and regulatory compliance across both litigation and non-litigation practices.
- Proven experience handling AGM/EGM, LDD, and company regulation reviews.
- Basic to intermediate ability in reviewing and commenting on commercial contracts (you don’t have to be an expert, but you must understand the fundamentals).
- Must hold a valid Advocate License (BAS/KTPA - preferably from PERADI).
- Proven track record in handling litigation cases, including representing clients in court and managing end-to-end trial procedures.
- Strong ability to coordinate and maintain professional relations with the police, government institutions, and other relevant authorities.
- No age or gender restrictions — we value capability, not category.
- Excellent legal drafting and communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Familiarity with employment/labor law is a strong advantage.
- Must possess a personal laptop.
