About the role

The Surveyor is responsible for conducting field assessments and onsite verifications to support the credit evaluation process. This role acts as a vital link between prospective debtors and the credit risk team, ensuring accurate data collection through direct interviews and thorough physical collateral inspections to enhance risk mitigation and overall portfolio quality.

Work responsibilities

• Conduct physical visits to debtors' designated locations, including residential, commercial, or business premises.

• Interview prospective debtors using a predefined list of questions to verify financial stability, background, and business operations.

• Perform comprehensive collateral surveys to assess the physical condition, valuation markers, and marketability of the asset.

• Document and verify the authenticity of onsite findings against the submitted credit application documents.

• Prepare clear, structured, and timely survey reports for the underwriting and credit risk teams.

• Ensure strict compliance between the field survey activities and internal company policies or risk standards.

Job requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Surveyor, Collateral Appraiser, or a similar field-based role, preferably in a banking, multi-finance, or mortgage (KPR) environment.

• Strong knowledge of local areas and familiarity with property/collateral inspection techniques.

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills to detect potential discrepancies during field visits.

• Good interpersonal and interviewing skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with various types of debtors.

• Proficiency in utilizing mobile data collection tools, navigation apps, and reporting software to submit data from the field.

• Stamina and flexibility to handle extensive field travel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
