Software QA Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a full-time QA Engineer who is passionate about understanding systems, validating business logic, and ensuring software reliability.

This role focuses primarily on functional and scenario-based testing, while also contributing to automation for regression and repetitive validation.

You will work on a supply chain management platform where accuracy, edge-case handling, and workflow validation are critical. You will collaborate closely with developers and project managers to validate requirements early, detect issues before release, and support consistent delivery quality.

This role is ideal for QA engineers who enjoy investigating system behavior, thinking critically about user scenarios, and gradually developing their automation capability.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience as Software QA / Tester.
• Strong experience in manual testing (functional, regression, and scenario testing).
• Able to write clear and structured test cases and test scenarios.
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile development process.
• Familiar with bug tracking and task management tools (JIRA or similar).
• Familiar with API testing tools (Postman or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Able to understand workflows and business processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Analyze requirements and clarify expected system behavior with PM or developer.
• Design test scenarios based on real user workflows.
• Create and maintain test cases in test management tools.
• Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects in JIRA.
• Validate bug fixes and perform retesting.
• Participate in sprint testing and release validation.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Contribute to automation testing for repetitive and regression scenarios.
• Help improve QA documentation, coverage, and testing process.

NICE TO HAVE

• Familiar with automation testing concepts.
• Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Katalon).
• Basic scripting or programming knowledge (JavaScript is a plus).
• Experience testing ERP / inventory / transaction systems.
• Experience with API validation and database checking (SQL).
