A Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and operational procedures to ensure guest satisfaction and food safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and organize ingredients required for food production in accordance with approved recipes and standards.
2. Cook and present food while maintaining consistency in quality, taste, portion size, and presentation.
3. Ensure all food items are prepared and served in compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
4. Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the kitchen, workstations, equipment, and utensils.
5. Store food products and ingredients properly to preserve quality and prevent spoilage or contamination.
6. Monitor and control the use of ingredients to minimize waste and support cost efficiency.
7. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies, and occupational health and safety regulations.
8. Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or replenishment needs to supervisors.
9. Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
10. Conduct daily preparation (mise en place) to ensure readiness for service periods.
11. Report any equipment malfunctions, food quality issues, or operational concerns to the immediate supervisor.
12. Carry out any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management that are related to kitchen operations and food service.
13. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
14. Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
15. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
16. Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
17. Professional appearance and positive working attitude.
